Those Were The Days

This is Singpaore in the sixties and seventies.

A police station on top of a knoll. This was just beside our primary school.

A child welfare clinic - I guess what you would call a pediatric clinic nowadays, across the road from our primary school.
This was the local cinema where the locals go to watch movies.
Life was difficult in the villages, and most people lived in attap houses.

Deeply appreciated and thanks to the organising committee for doing an excellent job. Cheers......

Hi all, missed a great evening.   Personally, i feel blessed to meet up with the teachers who moulded me for 4 years of my primary education though i had to leave b4 dinner started. Regret not having the chance to see Ms Heng. And of course Mrs Yong who has moved on from this life. Thank you all who made it possible.

Sien Chi:
Thanks Janet, perhaps invite them all on facebook (ms Goh, Sharifa, Chong have it) so that we can cast the net wider to include mr kanda and parathiyar in canada and vijayakumar in india Also Ms Heng

Msg fr Shariffa:
Thank you for the wonderful and nostalgic dinner last night . No words can describe my happiness at meeting all of you . Pls forward this message to all who were there. Thank you again.

Way Seng:
Great seeing everyone!  Thanks to the organizing team of Leong Keong, Janet, Ai Lay, Bessey, Bon, Kim Chuan, Sien Chi and those I may have missed out.  Cheers!  Long live BPES!

Kian Seng:
A big thank you to our fellow friends in the organising team for last evening primary school reunion. Without their efforts,  I wouldn't have the chance to meet three more of my primary school teachers. I was very delighted to meet Ms Sarifah 50 years later and Ms Goh 49 years later. Beside Mr Chow, the only other teacher I could recognize is Ms Goh.

Guna:
Once again, l reminsced my childhood days. Met. Ms chong, Mdm Goh and Ms Sharifah, 45 yrs later. Sincerely tks, Janet, Ai lay, kim chuan, bala and bon fr organising this gathering. Bala, tks fr picking me up n v.chari, fr sending me home. God bless.

Vincent:
I am sure all of us had a wonderful nostalgic evening yesterday. Thanks to Janet, Ai Lay, Bessey, Kim Chuan, Leong Keong and whoever else was involved in making it possible. It was great to see our teachers again, who still look so youthful. Also great to see a few new faces. (People whom I saw for the first time anyway.) I  noted that some of you haven't changed much through the years - be it facially or character wise. For those who I did not get a chance to speak to, my apologies. We will catch up next time.
Ya. It was a great night, a night to remember. And as is usually the case, time passes quickly when one is having fun. Hopefully, we will have more evenings like yesterday's.
Thanks, once again, to the organizing committee for making last night a success.

Msg fr Ms Mary Chong;
Thk u once again for organizing last nite event. Had a wonderful time sharing our past memories viewing the old photos.

Msg fr Ms Tina Goh:
Indeed I was very touched by the gestures shown by all of you.

Msg from Mr Choo:
I'm really happy to know that all from your class of 1970 are so closed to one another after  44 yrs.

About Mr Choo:

It's a pity Mr Choo was posted to another school the day following the big flood. So he didn't get a chance to teach us. He thanked us for reaching out and extending our warmth and friendship to him.
